Start the Bull Shoals Vacation
Tour six miles north
of Mountain Home on Arkansas Highway 5 at Midway.
Take Hwy. 178 west to Lakeview, then across the top
of Bull
Shoals Dam, one of the biggest concrete dams in
the country. Stop to view the lake or White River
at one of the overlooks.
Bull Shoals Lake, with 1,000
miles of shoreline and 71,000 acres of surface, is
your destination. Since 1952, the clear, cold waters
of Bull Shoals Lake have been a source for electric
power and water recreation for a large region, reaching
from the upper Midwest to Texas.
