Funds Grant Requests
April 2003
The Twin Lakes
Community Foundation is now accepting grant requests from qualified
public charitable organizations to fund projects to improve the
quality of life for citizens in Baxter, Fulton, Izard and Marion
counties.
Applications
are due by April 15, and grants will be awarded by May 30.
The Foundation
was created in May of last year, and is a nonprofit philanthropic
organization that helps generous individuals, families and businesses
create endowed funds to financially support education, cultural,
environmental and charitable causes in the four-county area.
Because of
its great desire for communities to help themselves, the Walton
Foundation has given the Twin Lakes Community Foundation $10,000
specifically for local grant-making during this first year of
existence, according to recent press release.
Those with questions
or who wish to request an application can e-mail Estella Tullgren
at tullgren@webewireless.com
