Do You Qualify?

  • Must be a resident of Baxter, Marion, or Boone counties.
  • Attending ASU Mountain Home full-time (12 hour/semester).
  • Enrolled in a math, science, or technology program, or in an education program with plans to become a math, science or technology teacher.
  • Demonstrate financial need and/or academic ability.

Scholarship Details

ASU Mountain Home Scholarship Committee will choose recipients. Application deadline is April 15.

  • First scholarship(s) awarded Fall semester.
  • Scholarships renewable up to 4 semesters or completion of specified course of study.
  • "B" average (3.0) must be maintained in college course work.
  • Pays math, science, technology or education program tuition, fees, books, and related educational expenses required for a specified course of study.
  • Help the Math, Science, and Technology South Shore Endowed Fund Grow

Anyone wishing to support the goals of the South Shore Foundation Endowed Scholarship may make additional donations to the endowed fund for math, science, technology and education student scholarships. Gifts are tax deductible through the Arkansas State University Foundation and should be sent to Arkansas State University Mountain Home.

The South Shore Foundation is the charitable foundation of the Northern Arkansas Telephone Company. NATCO is a family-owned company in Flippin, Arkansas, which provides telecommunication services in Marion and Boone counties in Arkansas as well as Internet and broadband services in the Twin Lakes area.

South Shore Foundation promotes the use of telecommunications technology to advance education, preserve the environment, improve or expand community services, or develop the economy. Since its founding in 1996, South Shore Foundation has funded projects valued at more than $450,000.

South Shore Foundation's governing body is the Board of Trustees consisting of NATCO company officers and leaders in business, government, and education in the South Shore and surrounding area. Trustees meet quarterly at the NATCO office in Flippin.
